Prior to joining the firm, he was an emerging-market corporate portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and, prior to that, a portfolio manager in the global special opportunities group for Latin America at JPMorgan/Chase. Among other roles at there, he was credit risk manager for the firm’s global head of emerging markets. Prior to joining JPMorgan, he was in the investment banking group at Bank of America Securities and in the petroleum division at Irving Trust. He earned a B.A. at Colgate University and an M.B.A. from the Columbia Business School.
