Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Phelps was a vice president and portfolio manager at Spectrum Asset Management. Previously, he was a supervisor of stock transfer at U.S. Surgical Corp. and director of corporate relations at the American Stock Exchange.

Biography

Joseph H. Bozoyan, CFA, is a managing director and portfolio manager at John Hancock Asset Management. Joe most recently was a senior investment analyst at John Hancock Asset Management. In this position, Joseph provided dedicated research for all strategies managed by the Intrinsic Value team. Prior to joining the company, Joe was a senior equity analyst on small, SMID, and all-cap portfolios at Ironwood Investment Management. Earlier in his career, he held analyst roles at companies such as Evergreen Investments, RCM, and Sun Life Financial. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.

Brad Lutz, CFA

Brad Lutz, CFA
Biography

Brad is a managing director, portfolio manager, and senior investment analyst at John Hancock Asset Management, specializing in fixed-income strategies. He also heads a team of credit analysts covering the industrials, utilities, and energy sectors, and manages the synthetic corporate collateralized debt obligation product group. Prior to joining John Hancock, Brad was an investment analyst at Declaration Management & Research, an affiliate of Manulife Asset Management. Earlier in his career, he was with Summit Investment Partners, where he was responsible for research, trading, and portfolio management for high-yield and investment-grade corporate bonds. Prior to joining Summit, he was a high-yield credit analyst with Pacholder Associates. Brad is a member of the CFA Institute and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
